Scout is packing up her life in Texas and moving 2,000 miles to Seattle, Washington to live and work with Artist Reformation and the AR Art Residency Program.
Scout dreams of owning her very own collaborative, creative studio in DFW within the next five years and Artist Reformation has a similar model to how Scout wants her studio to thrive and work. AR is giving her the opportunity to work directly with them in their environment to learn how they live, grow, move and work on a daily basis so that she can have hands-on experience working and running something of this caliber. After the six months, Scout plans to move back to Fort Worth and hit the ground running in January 2016 to begin her workspace-studio endeavors.
"Although this opportunity is a dream come true, it is an internship and will not be paying me in monetary rewards. I will have to find a part time job while in Seattle to take care of needs like rent, groceries and travel fees. Since my goal in Seattle is to learn as much as I can in the little time I have there, I am hoping to fundraise as much of the living expenses (rent, utilities, etc) in advance as I possibly can so that I won't have to trade off working so many hours part-time just to pay rent that I won't have time left over to work and learn all I can in the six months that are sure to fly by."
Please consider bidding on the items to help Scout learn as much as she is able to in Seattle:
